In Japan, An Old Warehouse Gets Covered With Thousands Of Colorful Tape Rolls

To showcase the diverse uses of Japan’s mt masking tape, art director Koji Iyama plastered all the floors, walls and ceilings of a huge old garage with thousands of rolls of masking tape as decoration.

Called ‘mt ex’, the fun exhibition set up in Sendai, Miyagi also featured the colorful adhesive tapes hanging from the ceiling, and objects—such as bicycles—covered in the multifunctional tape.

Mt ex not only successfully and artistically showed the different application possibilities of the brand’s product, but also provided viewers a unique experience as they explored the space.
